nice coffee very good taste nice people working there
I've been going to social grounds since I started working around the corner. (3 weeks ago) The young man who works there at 7am is always kind and steams my milk till it's smooth and creamy, making it my favorite coffee shop in Jacksonville. There's definitely a vibe and good coffee. 💯 👍🏽
My peeps (batista extraordinaires), Anna & Brenton, at locally and veteran owned Social Grounds Coffee Roasters on Main and 7th in Springfield! These people see me at least 4x a week and are so nice, caring, funny, and very personable. They make great coffee & lattes! THIS is the place for great & AFFORDABLE coffee! They're LGBTQ+ inclusive too! I love this place & these people! And hey, they actually have a TEACHER DISCOUNT here! Thanks for the respect & honor you bestow on us teachers!
Great service from Gabriel. Really community bound. I had an americano. Locally brewed beans Delicious Great spot for studying. Great sport to hang. They have a couch perfect for a coffee date.
The neighborhood of Springfield is filled with so many quaint little spaces that make a BIG impact. Embarrassed that after living in the neighborhood for a few years now, we hadn’t tried SGCC yet, but today we were in for a treat! We ordered the slow drip coffee, medium roast and a latte with peppermint mocha. The latte was decent but the coffee was AMAZING!! It smelled like hints of chocolate and had a full bodied taste. It certainly didn’t last long, we assure you! It was absolutely delicious! We also ordered an apple turnover and the tahini banana bread… cuuuute baked goods and sweet treats up in here!! The sound level was mild too so it’s perfect to post up and get some work done.
☕️ Coffee is great! Large tasty late. The espresso was very good and served correctly. It is a little gem in historic downtown. 👨🏻💻👩💻 Great place for some remote work. Plenty of power outlets. WiFi can be faster, but it is OK as is. 🖨 They have “Print with Me” printer available for guests. Not sure if it’s free. 💲Regular prices. 🅿️ They have parking in the back and street parking upfront. 🚽 Bathrooms are clean.
Great atmosphere and service! Coffee was so good!! Yum! I had hot latte with one pump of lavender syrup. So so good. The only downside for me was that they have to do some fixing in the toilets and make sure that restrooms have toilet paper.
Delicious lattes and pourovers. The latte was well balanced and you could really taste the espresso, not like some places where a latte just takes like warm milk and syrup. The pour over was flavorful and the mission of this place is great.
One of the best coffees I've ever had and I'm from Brazil and have had European coffee too. Staff is friendly, drinks come out fast as hot. And they have mugs instead of travel cups if you ask, always nice to reduce waste. Both my husband and I order cappuccinos multiple times.
Great little spot I swung by to grab some coffee for a job and crew. Tablet available to enter your order and lay which was nice since I had a laeger order. Made some on the fly changes, i.e. sub sparkling water for a americano and swap a drink for a speciality drink, and the two employees were super helpful, nice and efficient. Crew enjoyed their coffee, especially the banana bread latte which she noted as a little on the banana side but more cinnamon was delicious. Imagine stopping by again tmw!
